Melody has had a passion for singing and performing from a very early age having grown up surrounded by the music of Gilbert & Sullivan and as a descendant of the Wirth Family Circus. She has completed a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from UNSW, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies from UNSW, completed four diplomas in classical singing, one diploma in contemporary singing from Rock School London, and has industry training from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts London and Masterclasses with the likes of Adam Guettel, Hayden Tee, and Marni Nixon.
Melody’s onstage credits include such roles as Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Marty in Grease, Crystal in Little Shop Of Horrors, Mary Lane in Reefer Madness, Amneris in Aida, Beth in Merrily We Roll Along(RLS), Ulla in the The Producers, Grace Farrell in Annie (Packemin), Glinda in Wicked(MMS), and as Female Player/Candy in Stalker: The Musical(RPG). She also takes to the stage in numerous variety shows and concerts around Sydney, and has most recently toured with The John Milligan Band on P&O Pacific Dawn.
In 2014 Melody won the Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest, which took her all-around Australia and to New York with her cabaret show UNSEEN: The Voice of Hollywood, A tribute to Marni Nixon, even getting the chance to work with the woman herself, Marni Nixon.
Melody took the stage in her new cabaret The Sin-Sational Rita & Mae based on the lives of screen sirens Rita Hayworth and Mae West, premiering both at Sydney and Melbourne Fringe Festivals in 2017, Bondi Theatre Company in 2018, and Perth Fringe world and Adelaide Fringe in 2019.
Most recently, she has been working on a new show, Have You Met Miss Jones, about the life of Shirley Jones and will be gracing the stage at Mrs Claus in the premiere of Believe: A Christmas Musical in December 2025.
Melody is part of the jazz duo ‘Melody & Elsen’ with renowned and critically acclaimed Double Bassist Elsen Price. They regularly perform around Sydney and Australia as a duo and with guest artists. Melody and Elsen recorded and released their first album ClassiCool on all major streaming platforms in 2024, with guest artist Van Ahn Nguyen.
Between writing shows and performing, Melody is a Music, Drama and singing teacher in Sydney’s North West working with students in schools in voice and performance skills.
